Smart Flows
Multi-step visitor paths: CAPTCHA, gates, timers, conditions, A/B, redirect.
What a Smart Flow is
A Smart Flow is an ordered list of steps. Each visitor advances step-by-step until a Redirect, Condition, or A/B step ends the chain at a URL.
Who can build flows
- Platform admins — create platform flows, assign to all users or specific users, set the default flow for new short links.
- Publishers — create personal flows under Smart Flows, pick published publication content for Gate steps, edit/delete only their own flows.
Step types
| Step | Role |
|---|---|
| Gate page | Publication page or article + ad zones + countdown + scroll + Continue. Preferred monetization hop. |
| CAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA v2 human check. |
| Timer | Standalone countdown interstitial (legacy pairing with Landing). |
| Landing page | Legacy publication page or platform landing CTA (prefer Gate). |
| Condition | Branch by country or device to different URLs. |
| A/B test | Weighted split between destinations. |
| Redirect | Final hop — empty URL uses the short link destination. |
Shortener preset
Admin “New shortener flow” starts with:
- Human check (CAPTCHA)
- Sponsored gate (Gate)
- Go to destination (Redirect)
Add a second Gate step for multi-hop (“Step 1/2”) like WP Safelink / GPLinks.
Assignment (platform flows)
- All users — available platform-wide when published.
- Specific users — only assigned accounts.
- Default flow — Platform Setting; new links often auto-attach via Link Service resync.
Builder tips
- Keep hops to 1–3 gates. More hops increase impressions but raise abandonment.
- Name steps clearly (“Human check”, “Sponsored gate 1”).
- Always end with Redirect.
- Test the short URL in a private window after publishing.
